Dr. Michael Lenaghan is the Mardee Jenrette Endowed Chair of Teaching Excellence within Miami Dade College , America’s largest, most diverse and most internationally representative higher education institution. He teaches, advises and mentors scholars, peers and the civic community in political science, international relations, multicultural communication and relations, as well as conflict resolution and sustainable community building.
Lenaghan is board chairman of Service For Peace, board member of the Institute for Alternative Futures, and special adviser to Hispaniola International University (Haiti), Asociacion de las Naciones Unidas de la Republica Dominicana, Wand Foundation (USA). He serves as external adjudicator for PhD candidates at Alagappa University, Avinishilingam University and Bharathiar University in India. A former Fulbright Fellow, Dr. Mike was awarded two prestigious National Endowment for the Humanities “Landmarks in American History” Fellowships.
Dr. Lenaghan provides information, insights and inspiration to conscientious scholars, clients, colleagues and collaborators pertinent to planning, education, training and strategic initiatives within and across cultures, religions, socio-economic groups and professions in pursuit of sustainable community development, inclusive prosperity, social and economic entrepreneurship, mutual respect, ethical relationships and fair and friendly working environments.
